gFTP is a free multithreaded ftp client for *NIX based machines running X11R6 or later.

Launch gFTP
- Refer to the Welcome Letter that was faxed to you and proceed with the following:
- In the Host: field, enter your web address (www.companyname.com)
- In the User: field, enter in your Login Name
- In the Pass: field, enter in your Password

Hit Enter to connect

Locate the files you wish to upload to the webserver in the Local Files window (on the
left)

Change directories in the destination window (on the right) so that you are in the /usr/httpd/virtual/
directory. Then proceed to change to your web directory, for instance www.companyname.com
- Choose from one of the following:
- Change to the html directory if you are uploading HTML content
- Change to the cgi-bin directory if you are uploading any php, cgi, et al scripts

Change to the servlets directory if you are uploading any Java Applets or Servlets

In the Local files window, click (to highlight) the files you wish to upload and click
on the right arrow in the middle of the screen to start the process.

Launch gFTP

Hit Enter to connect

Locate the files you wish download from the webserver in the Remote Files window (on the
right) Left click on the files once to they are highlighted

Find a destination folder in the Local Files window (on the left)

Click on the left arrow in the middle of the screen to start the download process
Disconnecting

Click on Remote and select Disconnect, or hit Ctrl + D
