Install Mozilla ThunderbirdIf necessary, it is recommended to use your preferred package manager or method to install Thunderbird from your Linux distribution software repository. Launch Mozilla ThunderbirdLaunch Mozilla Thunderbird. Mail Account SetupOnce Thunderbird launches, you will see a screen asking for your account information.
The next step is setting up the mail client with the incoming and outgoing mail servers. NOTE: The alert that Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account is a warning that can be safely ignored. In the Username: field, enter your complete email address. In the row that starts with Incoming:

Click on Manual Setup.. button found in the lower left Mozilla Thunderbird - Account SettingsClick on Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left side of the Account Settings window, then click on the Edit... button.
