Enclosed are steps for some common configuration questions for the Netscape 4.x browser. However, in
order to take advantage of new web technology, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of
Netscape 7 or Mozilla.

Only updates are available for Netscape 4.x browser. To find out more:
- Click on Help in the browser menu bar
- Select Software Updates
- Follow the steps as directed on the Netscape website.
How to Enable Cookies
- Select Edit on the browser menu bar
- Then select Preferences
- Click on Advanced in the Category: menu
- Place a check next to Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server
- Click OK
How to Enable Java and JavaScript
- Select Edit on the browser menu bar
- Then select Preferences
- Click on Advanced in the Category: menu
- Place a check next to Enable Java
- Place a check next to Enable JavaScript
- Click OK
Using a Cache Server
- Select Edit on the browser menu bar
- Then select Preferences
- Click on the + in front of Advanced in the Category: menu
- Click on Proxies and select from one of the following:
- Place a check in front of Manual proxy configuration, click on view and enter
in the proxy server URL in the HTTP: field and specify a Port number
- Place a check in front of Automatic proxy configuration and enter in the URL
for the server in the Configuration location (URL): field
- Click OK
